There are many reasons why I'd like my current work contract to continue long past these two starter weeks.
I like the office. I like the requirements of my job. I like the easy journey into work. I like the way my phone never rings. I like how no one asks me why the printer isn't working. I like being invited into meetings to contribute, instead of take minutes. I like the way my job title doesn't include someone elses name. I like working. I like being out of the house.
But most of all, I like the people. I like them because they're the sort of people who go into the toilet armed with a pen, ready to correct the mistakes their fellow colleagues have already made.
In short, if you're going to attempt a grammatical correction in this Company, be prepared to get marked out of ten.

Oh Jo. You're home. This is a sign. Definitely a sign (spell checks twice).
Absolutely brilliant. Had I seen a 'correction' like that, I would have been incapable of anything more than punching the wall a few times in sheer annoyance. Whoever fixed it deserves some kind of an award. Yes, I am someone who believes that there should be an award for services to grammar protection.
hahaha brilliant!
I love this! I would do it too.
Brilliant. Sounds like a fun place to be. (The workplace, rather than the toilet).
Any news on whether you'll get to stay longer?
nottwitter - Haha, I did a spell check on that post too ;)
Hails - It really surprises me how many people really don't get the whole apostrophe thing. Seriously. The ' replaces a letter. In this case, 'a'. How hard is that to grasp?
Fen - My thoughts exactly.
Laurenne - I don't know if I'd have thought of the 'Must try harder' line though. That's gold.
Perp - The toilet's pretty fun too. Another couple of weeks. Covering for an ill person, so kind of hoping they stay ill, then I'll be going to hell.
Awesome.
What's really bad is that people don't correct each other's mistakes at my workplace... and it's a school.
When I'm not still the newbie I shall start doing it!
Oh, how I love randomly stumbling upon posts like these.
I would totally have done the same thing. Hilarious, seriously. I know I'm a bit late seeing as it was actually put up a little while ago, but I must say...this made my day. Thank you. [:
roseski - All about setting the trend. I would have loved to be the 'corrector' on this sign. Ah, one day.
Someone Unimportant - Haha, it kind of made my day as well. In fact, for the first time I think I actually did piss myself laughing, as I was on the toilet when I clocked it at the time. TMI? Maybe.
