Charlie says "NO!" to rancid Grandad shoes

Awww. he's got such a lovely little face. Look how it flops on your lap when you come in at 2am, pissed, and sit cross legged on the floor next to his bed. Look how it smiles when you're patting away and saying "Chaarrrliiiee. Chaaarrrrlliie. Heeelllloooooo dawgie! Oh doggle! Hallo doggle!", before brandishing a camera phone and snapping at least half a dozen pictures of dozey dog. Oh, how I love him when he's all tired and can barely raise his head, let alone his gnashers.

And how I love him when my mum's final words to me and my sister are "Girls, one of you stay down here and watch the dogs. I don't want Charlie destroying stuff" and we go "Yeah, alright mum..." and roll our eyes. Then half an hour later one of us wonders downstairs and finds...

...in place of the usually intact, rancid (but no doubt terribly comfortable) shoes favoured by my dad.

"Oh whoops." I said
"Ohh...what shall we do?" asked my sister.
"Hmmm. Hide 'em."
"Yeah. It's alright, they ming anyway. Good boy Charlie. Good boy"

No, you really don't. They might be comfortable but those shoes are really, really ugly.

Oh, my. That's not right. Your poor dad.

I wish Charlie had a camera phone so he could take photos of your 2 a.m. drunken ass and post them to the internet. That would be so funny (to me)!

Charlie did have a camera phone, but he ate it.

Maybe next time it'll be Drunken Video Blog O'Clock, perhaps?

Aww look at Charlie's face. I LOVE dogs. Never had a slipper chomping one though ... but I'd probably still ruffle it's doggie cheeks and snuffle it's doggie ears even after I'd found evidence of it's footwear wrecking activities. Mouldy Old Tartlet = soft touch.

I used to have a black lab now I have a border terrier. She hardly chews at all. The lab would chew his way through a coblers workshop.

Did you say 'doggle?' I'm sure you did! Awww, bless you, Jo.

Charlie is adorable!

MOT - this ones a right soppy thing and a right little monkey in equal measure.

grump - Charlie loves workshops. He'll chew anything he can get his teeth into (and anything he can't)

MsPuddin - Dont be fooled. That dawg knows exactly what he's doing, and how to get out of it once he's done it.

Elaine - Doggle is my word of choice when it comes to addressing my hounds. I'm pretty sure they answer to doggle and dogalog now. I'm really a 5yr old.
