At the weekend, I fell in love.
For the first time in months, I felt the fluttering of my heart. A pang for something other than a distant memory of a Bastard Ex.
My eyes settled on a form across the room, and I all but ran to it.
Although tempted to take my new love home there and then, I decided to be sensible.
"Thursday" I said, "We'll meet again on Thursday".
And now Thursday's here, and I'm nervous and excited all at once. It's all I've thought about since we first met; my mind has been entirely occupied all week.
So tonight, I'm going to consummate the relationship. It's risky, it's silly, it's utterly indulgent and based on an infatuation that's completely shallow and skin deep.
But when you see a handbag that inspires that kind of reaction, you've just got to hand over the card.
Ladies and gentlemen (but mostly ladies, the gents won't get it) - tonight, I'm getting a Miu Miu.
Wish me luck. See you on the significantly poorer, infinitely prettier other side.

We will require photos.
Which one? Definite photo requirement.
Lucky bugger.
That is all.
P.s Photo please.
Link to a picture of the bag?????
Jebus, the price of them - for a bag. A handbag *shakes head*. You could open a new hospital wing at them prices.
*puts 'old/sound like my dad' head on* "I can get you one of them for £20 in the market"
yeah, so this topic is going completely over my head. Sometimes girls confuse me..... ;)
Oh d'oh, just realised I missed the link -- lovely bag. Is it also sturdily & well-made? And is it beautiful inside? DI hope it has that lovely luxe leather *expensive* smell.
My handbags (bought en masse in T K Maxx, never more than £50) take an awful beating as I don't drive so walk, bus or train everywhere.
Its stunning.
well worthy of your adoration.
I don't get designer handbags at all (when I lived in New York I used to call them "Please Rob Me Bags"), but the way you wrote this post made me want to be your friend. Badly.
Ohh good for you!!! And pics please :)
Crap, just saw you posted the link and it's gorgeous!
The love affair continues...
You can tell I'm a bloke. £695? That's a month's livery for one horse!
'kin 'ell. How much? Jesus!
I thought spending £25 on my wallet was steep.
