Next stop...

After five months, five states and five grand (ish), it's safe to say that Australia has had all the travel time I could give for the moment.

New Zealand tomorrow (again).

Auckland tomrrow (again).

South Island for two weeks (by car)

Fiji (on a boat).

Los Angeles to New York (somehow).

Bear with me. It's going to get a bit hectic.

I like the North American initiative. You should consider the Greyhound Discovery Pass. It will be tedious but a really big adventure :)

chapati - Tell me about it. I've only got 9 weeks left! Crazy.

arbyn - Thanks for the tip, will definitely look into that. We're stuck on how to get across the US at the moment what with their pain in the arse driving restrictions.

cynical - Ha, I'm 5 months in and have only been to two countries so far! Looking forward to sampling something different...

Ellie - Will update as much as possible!

jman - Thanks! Any tips on how to actually get to New York from LA without flying? ;)

Jo, there are a number of really good West to East road / rail trips that you can make to cross the US. They tend to be a really good way to see the country for what it is, and you can do them at your own pace too.

I sent you an e-mail discussing some options. Hope you got it.
